3rd March 2022: ‘You Can’t Take It With You’ by Chet Doxas in great Citizen Jazz review

You Can’t Take It With You is the latest album from Chet Doxas. The record sees him team up with two star collaborators – Thomas Morgan and Ethan Iverson – on a release that represents a key shift in Doxas’ compositional and editing process. Inspired by the trios of Jimmy Giuffre and close collaborators Carla Bley and Steve Swallow, Doxas was encouraged to set up his own trio by Bley. The disc represents a year in Doxas’ life, spread over twelve tracks.
