19th December 2019: #tbt – Gene Jackson – ‘Power Of Love’ + review from SK Jazz

Tokyo based drummer Gene Jackson released his debut album as a leader on April 6th 2018. Power Of Love features Gene with Gabriel Guerrero on piano and Carlo De Rosa on double bass. Most of the ten tracks on the album are original compositions brought by each member of the band, with exceptions like Cole Porter’s ‘I Love You’.
