Jazzwise Magazine have recently reviewed trumpeter Andre Canniere’s latest release Coalescence. The review states that Canniere’s compositions “contrast breezy folky jazz elements with a darker harmonic language that draws from Radiohead and a rawer rock-ish groove-based approach straight out of the New York alt scene” and on his playing describes that he “treads a path between the Celtic folk of Colin Steele, Kenny Wheeler and the and the more soaring, fiery edge of a Dave Douglas or Kendrick Scott. ”
Coalescence debuted last October (2013) and supported the headline act at the first ever Whirlwind Festival at Kings Place to a fully packed concert hall and an enthusiastic audience.
