In Common III also features Kris Davis on piano, Dave Holland on bass and Terri Lyne Carrington on drums.
The album is the third iteration of the successful In Common formula – inventive ‘one-page songs’ written with specific musicians in mind. Tracks from the album are currently featured on the State of Jazz and All New Jazz Spotify playlists as well as Apple Music’s Jazz Currents and Amazon’s Fresh Jazz.

Walter Smith III and Matthew Stevens will be embarking on their first European tour later this month to support the release of the album, joined by Jonathan Barber and Harish Raghavan (check out the full tour dates here). There will be a free live stream – in association with Bandcamp – of their gig in Poole on March 29.
