Patrick Cornelius will be playing tunes from all his albums including the highly acclaimed While We’re Still Young. Featured alongside Patrick on this album is Jason Palmer – trumpet, John Ellis – tenor saxophone, bass clarinet, Nick Vayenas – trombone, Miles Okazaki – guitar, Gerald Clayton – piano, Peter Slavov – bass and Kendrick Scott – drums. A commission from Chamber Music America’s New Jazz Works program, and a grant from The Doris Duke Foundation helped realise Patrick’s ambition to create a suite of new original music inspired by the universally-treasured poetry of English literary icon A. A. Milne.
