15th November 2012: New Focus with a wave of high acclaim in the press (London Jazz, The Scotsman and The Sunday Times) on the heels of their sold out LJF launch party.

New Focus is a project by Scotsmen Konrad Wiszniewski & Euan Stevenson that features jazz quartet, string quartet, and harp in a genre-mix of jazz, classical, folk and beyond.  They released with us on NOV 5 of this year and with that release came a flood of 5 star reviews for this highly ambitious project.  Just two days ago they launched the album in style at a sold out Pizza Express Jazz Club during the London Jazz Festival, and things just keep getting better.  Just last Sunday, we were elated to hear that New Focus got a special mention in The Sunday Times by one of the UK’s most widely read music critics, Clive Davis.  It’s a rarity to appear in his column so it goes to show how special the music on this album really is.  We’ve reprinted the short but sweet review below.  Also, two great reviews have just hit recently as well:  A great in-depth piece from London Jazz, as well as a 4 Star review (scroll down) from The Scotsman.  There’s a serious hype about this record and we’re not surprised, check out for your self and pick up a copy today from the New Focus album page.
