25th April 2011: Michael Janisch’s “Parardigm Shift” International Quintet Primed and Ready for Upcoming Tour, this Week!

WWR founder and bassist extraordinaire Michael Janisch and his brand new ‘Paradigm Shift’ International Quintet featuring one of the premier trumpeters on the planet, Jason Palmer, start their tour tomorrow in Ramsgate, Kent, UK.  All dates can be found in the “events” section or at www.michaeljanisch.com  The tour culminates in a live recording at the Pizza Express Jazz Club for WWR, and features all new highly personal original music by Janisch and the band, full of contemporary writing techniques and influences, poly harmonic devices, free improvisation right alongside structured form, and all mixed with Janisch’s deep love of the great jazz tradition from across the spectrum of it’s rich heritage.
