21st October 2020: Josephine Davies’ Satori ‘How Can We Wake?’ is out now – recent press highlights include feature from All About Jazz and reviews from UK Vibe, Jazz in Europe and Jazz Views

Saxophonist Josephine Davies made her debut with trio group Satori back in 2017. Since then, the trio of Davies, James Maddren and Dave Whitford have established themselves as one of the most creative ensembles on the UK Scene. Their approach is informed by Davies’ interest in Buddhist teachings, and it’s these influences that form the basis of their recent release, How Can We Wake? The record is an immersive album of chordless trio originals.

Tracks from How Can We Wake? have featured on the BBC’s flagship J to Z programme, and have also been picked for airplay by BBC Cambridge Radio, BBC Ulster Radio and London Jazz Radio amongst others.

The full album is available to order on our site on 12″ LP 180g Limited Edition Vinyl, CD & DL.
