10th December 2013: Glowing London Jazz Festival Concert Reviews In from Mike Collins & The Jazz Mann for Jeff Williams’ Recent Performance at The Green Note

In today we have a double concert review for Jeff Williams recent performance at The Green Note as part of the London Jazz Festival from two reviewers – The Jazz Mann and Mike Collins. 

The Jazz Mann’s review states that “this had been an excellent show, occasionally poignant but more often highly exciting with some exceptional playing all round” continuing to saying that “it was Williams intelligent writing and perceptive prompting from behind the kit that set the tone for the performance.”  The review rounds up with describing it as “another memorable night at the Green Note and another excellent live performance from Jeff Williams.”

The second review, from Mike Collins, poetically describes that “the caress of his sticks makes the kit an orchestra” and defines it overall as “a treasure of a group, a gem of a gig.”
