Grammy-winning drummer Terreon Gully is a St. Louis-born musician closely associated with Christian McBride and Lauryn Hill. His first appearance on Whirlwind is part of Michael Olatuja’s genre-bending collection Lagos Pepper Soup.

Gully’s place at the centre of a number of genres sees a broad range of collaborators, from jazz legends to hip-hop icons. They include Kurt Elling, Nicholas Payton, Randy Brecker, Kenny Barron, Sting, Keyon Harrold, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Maria Schneider Big Band, Jacky Terrasson, Meshell Ndegeocello, Lauryn Hill and Mos Def. His first solo project Tanktified released in 2020.
