24th September 2015: UK/Europe press round-up for Partikel Trio’s ‘String Theory’. China tour, UK tour dates + new video release.

String Theory is the third release from London-based Partikel (Duncan Eagles, Max Luthert and Eric Ford), a group that has maintained a feverish live schedule the past few years and is heralded as a significant new band on the European scene. With String Theory, a string quartet has been integrated seamlessly into Partikel’s trademark style of raw emotion and fiercely interactive improvisations, striking a balance between intensity and rich harmony.

Here’s a newly released video of ‘Seeking Shadows’ from the album.

Partikel leave for an extensive 30 day tour of China on Sunday delivering a mixture of workshops at universities and performances across the country.

Recently, Duncan and Max spoke to Jazzwise Magazine in depth about the upcoming tour of China and  String Theory. Here’s a link to the full feature: (read)
