17th November 2012: The BANNED IN LONDON release tour complete: Update on The Aruan Ortiz & Michael Janisch 5tet + latest live reviews, 4 Star Irish Times & Financial Times Review, Jazz Breakfast.

The Aruan Ortiz and Michael Janisch Quintet (featuring Greg Osby, Raynald Colom and Rudy Royston) had a busy fall, launching their debut album Banned in London as well as embarking on a major release tour which saw the band perform in Turkey, Germany, and UK. Highlights for the band included a headlining berth at the famed London Jazz Festival (one of the world’s largest jazz festivals) at the historic Southbank Center’s Purcell Room. Here, the band sold out both their tickets and nearly all our physical stock of their album! Don’t worry, a few boxes remain, and we’ve already ordered the next bundle.

Some great press hit recently for the album, and we’d like to share that with you now:

Two great live reviews from the band’s concert at the amazing St. George’s in Bristol. Very informative and give a great indication of what it was like being in the audience.  click HERE and HERE.
