Through composition and an individual approach to improvising, Sam Crowe is constantly striving for a modern voice in music, at the heart of which is a deep love for many styles of music and a desire to find and express a deeper universal truth that resides in all of us and with which we can all connect.
Sam graduated from Trinity College of Music in 2006 and since then has enjoyed a varied career working in jazz, pop and film music. As a jazz pianist he has worked with some of the most acclaimed young artists in the UK and US including Will Vinson, Mark Guiliana, Alan Hampton, Adam Waldmann, Jasper Hoiby, Jonathon Kreisberg, Gretchen Parlato, Julian Siegal, Michael Janisch, Phil Robson and Phil Donkin to name a few.
As a band leader, he has been widely recognized as an exciting new arrival on the UK jazz scene with his critically acclaimed debut album, Synaesthesia, garnering extremely high praise from the press and public alike. 2010/11 saw The Sam Crowe Group perform sell out shows across the UK including London Jazz Festival, Brecon International Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scott’s and Pizza Express Dean St.
