16th April 2012: MID TOUR UPDATE: Michael Janisch’s New York Standards Quartet tour going strong, with one week to go + 4 Star Guardian Live Review

MID-TOUR UPDATE: About 2,000 miles into WWR Artist and Label Founder Michael Janisch’ extensive UK tour with the New York Standards Quartet, and the band have been delighting audiences nationwide and gaining some great press along the way.  Here’s a review from LONDON JAZZ for their Oxford Jazz Festival Headlining performance and here is a beaming 4 Star Guardian review from John Fordham, who gives a great account of the concert in Bristol’s Colston Hall, calling the band a ‘collective class act.’ MJ’s tour kicks into overdrive for one more week and a bit with performances in Southampton, Hull, Leeds, Sheffield, Leicester, Southport, and finishing at Trinity College of Music in London. Don’t miss the chance to see New Yorkers Tim Armacost, David Berkman, and Gene Jackson, who are playing at the top of their game. Check EVENTS for more info.
