Bassist and composer Dave Manington is one of the mainstays of the London improvised music scene – a founding member of the Loop Collective (one of the UK’s most original and long-lasting creative music collectives), he has performed or recorded with such notables as Mark Lockheart, Jim Hart, Tim Garland, Iain Ballamy, Pete Wareham, Gwilym Simcock and Martin Speake. He has released two albums to date, Headrush and Hullabaloo (Loop Records) to critical acclaim and is also a founder member of the highly regarded e17 Collective where he writes new music for various large ensembles. Dave’s music has been heard on BBC Radio as well as used in television where he has also accumulated extensive studio experience. Currently, he performs around the UK and Mainland Europe.
